Form: curved timber ribs of the vaulted ceiling

A shop under a single vault of curved timber ribs.

Forty-one ribs of laminated timber run the length of the shop and carry everything else: the lighting, the shelving, the signage. The old shophouse walls are left as they were found.

The ribs were laminated in a workshop in Prai and lifted in through the front doors in halves. Between them the old plaster of the party walls is left exactly as it was found, patched and stained.
